Its great fun!  Terriers (and other breeds) love it and its an excellent way to see a Dog running for fun.  Terrier racing is done for the most part at Terrier shows and Game Fairs, however the safest way I have found would be at “Afghan Racing”  These are events held monthly at Greyhound tracks.

The Afghan Hound is a beautiful Hound with endless stamina, unfortunately, many are not obedient off lead, so this provides a great opportunity for them to run loose in safety.  There are a few clubs doing this and they welcome all dogs.

Our latest track to run at is Ellesmere Port, hosted by Ellesmere Port Afghan Racing  They are very friendly and welcoming, the track is safe, and we had a great time flooding them with Border Terriers!  A few other breeds taking part:
