STOP IRRESPONSIBLE CAT BREEDING
I decided to write this article after reading of the incredible numbers of irresponsibly bred kittens being gloated over on public internet forums. It’s very very sad to think that these kittens are contributing to an enormous problem that already exists, and their owners appear to see no wrong doing, how wrong they are…….In 2004 the RSPCA put to sleep 12598 Cats or kittens, and since then its got bigger, the RSPCA being the biggest animal charity, but of course does not include all the other welfare organisations, whom of course will have had to make difficult decisions at some point too. There is absolutely no reason at all for genuine pet owners to allow their pets to have litters of kittens, none whatsoever, these resulting kittens are contributing to a massive problem that rescues are forced into picking up the pieces of. The RSPCA and Cats Protection offer free or very cheap neutering, all of which can be afforded by people on the most limited of means.

This Cat was lucky (if you can call it lucky) rescued, pregnant, very ill, but thankfully survived.
So, why do they do it?
Well, it certainly isn’t for the benefit of the Cat, there are many things that can go wrong, I only hope that if it does the old “we couldn’t afford it” issue doesn’t appear if the mother Cat needs help, or in
So what do we have?
Pet Cats, most cases rescues:
1. Being bred from when just babies themselves.
2. NO health tests of any description.
3. Pathetic excuses given for allowing it to happen.
4. Questionable vetting (given the ads you can freely read)
5. Allowing their pets to be mated by a cat who stands a BIG chance of carrying lethal diseases, which can kill it, the mother and all the kittens, or condemn them to a solitary existence without a normal cat life.

More kittens bred iressponsibly, sadly all but one of these kittens died as a result of diseases that would of been avoided if the parents were health tested and healthy.
Below are some links of interest, please give some time to looking at them, to show the plight of these Cats, and the work and effort these rescues put in and the sad facts of irresponsible breeding.
